Emily earned a Bachelor of Science in Technology Teacher Education from Mississippi State University in 2008 and in 2011, earned a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Mississippi University for Women. She is an ASHA certified and TX licensed Speech/Language Pathologist. Emily has experience evaluating and treating a variety of communication disorders with children in early childhood through adolescents, specializing in working with children with deficits in social communication, receptive/expressive language, articulation/phonological disorders, and fluency disorders. She knows the importance of embedding sensory integration and motor skills into language activities and enjoys using child-led therapy, books, and thematic units when building early language skills. With upper elementary and adolescents, Emily works hard to build relationships with clients while implementing strategies to build receptive and expressive language, social, and executive function skills.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children by cheering on the Mississippi State Bulldogs, eating Tex-Mex, and spending time outdoors.
