Jill Wiedman is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. She received her Master of Education in Elementary School Counseling with Secondary School Counseling Certification from West Chester University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Muhlenberg College. In addition to her work at The Housson Center since 2013, Jill served as a full-time school counselor for 18 years. During her time in the independent school system, she was responsible for social and emotional wellness, testing and assessment, and parent education. Jill treats children, teens, and young adults who are experiencing difficulty due to anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, trauma, social pressures, or adjustment. She believes in an evidence-based, integrated approach and draws upon her training in cognitive behavioral therapy, developmentally appropriate play therapy, and mindfulness based techniques. Most importantly, Jill works diligently to create a safe space for all clients and collaborates with clients and families to determine the best approach for treating individual needs.
In her free time, Jill enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and traveling. She loves being active, whether on the Peloton or in pilates class. A dedicated Philadelphia Eagles fan, she can be found cheering from the couch on Sundays.
