Callie Conner is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Misty Solt, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, CCPT-S, CPRT-S. She is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and their families. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Methodist University, where she specialized in children, adolescents, and play therapy. During her time at SMU, she served as President of the Play Therapy Association, reflecting her commitment to developmentally appropriate, evidence-based interventions. Callie is also a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Callie works primarily with children ages 7–11, using a strengths-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach to address anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, executive functioning challenges, and other emotional or behavioral concerns. For younger children ages 4–7, she incorporates child-centered play therapy to create a safe and expressive environment. She also integrates Kimochis®, a social-emotional learning curriculum that supports emotional regulation and feeling identification. Through collaborative work, Callie helps her clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, build confidence, and improve overall mental health. Her therapeutic style emphasizes warmth, safety, and connection—grounded in the belief that healing begins within a trusting relationship.
Outside the counseling room, Callie enjoys playing mahjong with friends, reading on her Kindle, and needlepointing. She is an active member of Eastside Community Church in Dallas and serves as a high school girls mentor through Ascent Ministries and Coffee Talk Coppell.
