We offer comprehensive evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder. A typical evaluation involves the standard process for a psychoeducational evaluation in addition to an hour of additional testing to evaluate social and communication functioning. Our clinicians are trained to administer specific diagnostic tools such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2). This is a semi-structured set of questions and activities explicitly designed to elicit various aspects of social interaction, communication, and patterns of behavior. Our evaluations are conducted in a multidisciplinary manner and include collaboration among our psychologists and diagnosticians. After testing is completed, the lead psychologist will meet with you to discuss the test results and make appropriate treatment recommendations. A detailed report, summarizing our findings is provided four to six weeks after the evaluation.
